Ever since the judgement on Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s rape case has been passed, there’s an unrest in the country. 25th Aug, the day the judgement came, Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s followers created riots causing huge loss of the public and government property.


The lady is named Honeypreet Insan and there are reports that after Gurmeet Ram Rahim, she is one of the top contenders for being the next chief of Dera Sacha Sauda. Let’s have a look at some facts about her.


1. Honeypreet Insan is the adopted daughter of Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

2. She has two sisters Amarpreet Kaur Insan, Charanpreet Kaur Insan and one brother Jasmeet Singh Insan through Gurmeet Ram Rahim.
3. Honeypreet Insan loves to call herself Papa’s Angel and is extremely close to Gurmeet Ram Rahim. Ever since she has joined Dera Sacha Sauda, her popularity and power has been immense. She handles a lot of tasks related to Dera.
4. Her real name is Priyanka Taneja which was later changed to Honeypreet Insan by Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

5. Honeypreet Insan has also contributed in making of Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s films as Director, Editor and even as an actor.
6. She has handled the work of Direction for films like MSG The Worrier Lion Heart, Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab & even the latest film Jattu Engineer.
7. As per Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Honeypreet broke Jackie Chan’s record by contributing in 21 different roles regarding his film MSG: Hind Ka Napak Ko Javaab.
8. Honeypreet Insan (then named Priyanka Taneja) got married to an old Dera follower, Vishwas Gupta 14 Feb 1999. Vishwas Gupta later in 2011 approached the court regarding an illicit relationship between Dera Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim and his wife Honeypreet Insan. He later took the allegations back. Honeypreet Insan and Vishwas Gupta then got separated and she started living in the Dera.
